A Message to
our Street Music Week Performers
Although COVID-19 will prevent us from meeting on the streets this year, that doesn't mean you can't still participate and help raise money to support 2nd Harvest food bank.
Here's how you can join other musicians in participating in our online version of Street Music Week 2020:

Here's a copy of the letter from Doug Clark to the Busker Nation:
May 27, 2020
Greetings, Busker Nation!
Due to COVID-19 concerns, we won’t be taking to the sidewalks of Spokane and Coeur d’Alene this year for Street Music Week.
The area, I realize, is in the process of reopening. But it’s early still and the last thing I want is for any of you goodhearted performers putting yourselves at risk.
That’s the bad news.
Here’s the good. Street Music Week consigliere Jim Lyons and I, along with assistance from Carey Eyer, have come up with an online way for performers to still make music and help 2nd Harvest keep feeding the hungry.
Eyer, a tech whiz, created an entertaining and informative video starring his talented daughters Neilia and Ivy. (Check it out at https://youtu.be/g2EF2Mm5kdw.) The girls explain the easy steps to becoming a virtual busker for Street Music Week 2020.
Basically…
Over the years, Street Music Week has collected nearly $240,000, with every penny going to 2nd Harvest.
This year’s pandemic, however, has been a game changer, creating a need like never before.
High levels of unemployment have placed an unprecedented strain on food bank resources.
Hopefully, we can use our talents to raise some contributions in an online way. Oh, and make sure to check out and tell your friends and fellow performers about all the improvements to our official website: streetmusicweek.com.
Then let’s all look forward to making the sidewalks of Spokane and Coeur d’Alene sing again in 2021.
Rock on!
Doug Clark
